Twitter Hires Another Googler for Executive Team

Twitter confirmed that Mr. (Dick) Costolo, who helped found FeedBurner and worked at Google after it acquired the company, will start next week. “He’s a longtime friend of Ev and Biz, so clearly they trust and respect the work that he’s done and look forward to working with him here at Twitter,” said Jenna Sampson, a Twitter spokeswoman, referring to Twitter’s founders, Evan Williams and Biz Stone.

FeedBurner helps publishers and bloggers manage RSS and other types of feeds. Since many people use Twitter to share links and some have talked about using Twitter to replace their RSS feeds, Mr. Costolo will have an interesting perspective for the company.
